Vanderlande Industries has broad experience in developing solutions for 3PLs for both single client and multi client facilities. We have designed and implemented automated warehouses for well-known 3PLs such as DB Schenker, SB Logistic, Syncreon Technology and Wilhelm Hammesfahr. Vanderlande has also won the order to supply and install the order picking and sortation system for a major expansion of the 3M European Distribution Center in Jüchen, Germany, operated by the Kleine group.
In addition to the order picking and sortation system for 3M, Vanderlande will also handle the connection to the existing logistics systems and will install a new material flow control system, all without interrupting ongoing operations in the centre. The new facility will be located opposite 3M’s existing European Distribution Center. It will be operated by the Kleine group, with most of the planned floor area of about 40,000 m² dedicated to the 3M operations.
DB Schenker works for one of the world's leading sportswear brands. Schenker operates a sortation system for fashion at its warehouse in Mechelen (Belgium). The warehouse process is primarily based on a cross-docking concept. The POSISORTER shoe sorter forms the heart of the material handling system. This provides Schenker with several advantages.
