First BAXORTER operational at Eindhoven Airport
A complete new system at Eindhoven Airport, with the new BAXORTER and VIBES.SAC as key components, was handed over to the customer two weeks ahead of schedule on 17 April. Teamwork and dedication were the most important ingredients for this success. The first bags were already sorted by the BAXORTER on 12 March, and since the end of March the system has handled the entire airport’s baggage.
The smooth switch to automated sorting means this customer now has a high-end baggage handling system they can be proud of. For Vanderlande Industries it means an excellent reference site just 25 km from the Veghel headquarters. Eindhoven is the second-largest airport in the Netherlands, and handled 1.5 million passengers in 2007.
